I've officially earned my J.D. I got the last of the grades today and it was WAY better than I was expecting- a great surprise and a for sure GPA saver. My GPA isn't great and my class rank is rather pathetic, but I managed to escape law school with a higher final GPA than my GPA in my chemistry minor was in college, so I'll consider than an accomplishment :)

Speaking of chemistry, I absolutely would prefer to relearn and retake an entire year of college organic chemistry instead of trying to figure out Property. I hated property first year, never learned it, and now that barzam season has rolled around I've discovered that I hate it even more the second time around.

In keeping with the chemistry theme (but onto a totally different subject), my friends have been absolutely relentless in the last week about Trivia Boy. Last week after spending a good 5 hours in a classroom with Ms. Fabulous and the Rebel making flashcards and quizzing the hell out of contracts and con law we all parted ways to head home. About an hour after I got home Trivia Boy called to invite me to go see The Hangover with some other people, he had already invited the Rebel and told me to give Ms. Fabulous a call. Rebel caved at the last minute, Ms. Fabulous never returned my call and his other friend got caught at work taking care of some kind of disaster so it ended up just being the two of us. Nothing awkward about it, just a couple of friends hanging out (and the movie was hilarious!!). Apparently as we were walking out of the theater, Ms. Fabulous and one of her other friends were in line for popcorn before heading into see the later showing of the same movie. I didn't see her, and apparently didn't hear her when she yelled my name since i was on the other side of the lobby. When I arrived at BarBri the following morning I got grilled about the "details" of my movie "date" since she had seen me leaving with Trivia Boy.

It really is quite exhausting. Even if we were dating, or even if there was a possibility that it could be leading to that, I don't want to be interrogated every single day for all of the insignificant none of your business kinds of details my friends seem to be trying to illicit. It's also somewhat of a sticky situation since if I tell them the truth and say there's nothing going on they don't believe me and if I say I'm just refusing to discuss that subject at all they assume that there is actually something going on (and that's when rumors- even unintentional ones will start to fly). Why are girls so dramatic? Don't get me wrong, I love my girlfriends, I don't know how I would be getting through the barzam without them. But YIKES!!!

All in all thank goodness for the BFF. She really has been fabulous since the summer barzam madness began. She's up for movies, shopping, eating delicious crap if I need a break and she totally understands when I tell her I don't have time to catch up or can't firm up plans until I know for sure how the rest of the study madness is going to fall together for that particular week. Oh, and she wouldn't dare question me daily on every tiny detail of my every interaction with Trivia Boy. We have far more important things to worry and gossip about, like our mutual friend who is engaged for the 3rd time in 5 years and the hideous dresses she's going to try and make her bridesmaids wear and how we are going to avoid getting asked to be bridesmaids for this go around :-)
