New Digs

By "Daisy Duke"

ADVERTISEMENTS
In an effort to not talk about the fact that I spent all day yesterday not eating (doctors orders) and how I subsequently spent my morning under sedation having lots of photos taken of my insides I'm instead going to talk about my shiny new house we started paying for today. Of course even though we are paying for it, it isn't complete. Apparently appliances & drawer pulls & bathroom mirrors are so last year. (But before we get there I should mention that while I certainly don't like being in the hospital, I certainly wouldn't complain if warm blankie service & ginger ale with crushed ice and a straw were availble at the snap of the fingers around these parts...)

We are beyond excited however about the space and the amenities and the fabulousness of it.

Behold my fuzzy iPhone photos of our new abode:

This is our new living room (above photo). I apologize the photo is a little dark, but the main point is, DO YOU SEE ALL THAT SPACE?

This is the master-bedroom closet. I'd like you to see how pretty and organized it is. This type of organization calms and soothes my soul. The back quarter inch is where Bismow gets to keep everything. The rest of it is where my pretty shoes get to live. (I kid, I kid. I plan on sharing nicely.) This is the vanity in the master bathroom. Please note that it does not have a mirror....which is certainly an interesting concept. I'd also like you to notice all of the glorious counter space. Not pictured are the alien landing lights (seriously I could light up Wrigley Field from this bathroom) the jaccuzi tub and the glorious stone shower.
This is a corner of our new kitchen. I didn't show you the entire kitchen mostly becuase it is missing appliances and thus consists of more of the same along with large gaping holes where our pretty new stainless steel appliances will go. In fact you can see part of the gaping hole meant to be the dishwasher in the far left.
This is the master bedroom. It is 20 by 14 feet and thus BISMOW keeps trying to convince me we should put a blow-up bouncy house in it and invite all of our friends over for cocktails & a socks only party inside the bouncy castle. This of course is where I roll my eyes and remind him that he could be relegated to the guest closet.

So there it is, our new digs. If any adult in our family were asking, (or any of you) BISMOW will be residing at The Artful Blogger's new digs down the street until we are married. You can choose to believe that, you can choose not to believe that. Only BISMOW and I really know, and frankly, with our traditional families, we are not giving them any reason to frown on us. You might frown on that, but frankly, we believe in the motto of "choose your battles" and I'm busy convincing my Mother in law that I'm not wearing my hair in a pony tail for the wedding & Bismow is busy convincing Papa Duke that the Michigan-App State jokes really need to end.
