Useless Cast of Characters

ADVERTISEMENTS
When I started blogging back in August of 2006 I didn't have any method of how I was going to identify the people who make up my useless life that I sometimes write about. Recently I've decided that it would be much easier to write and keep things straight if I gave everyone a bloggy name (cause if I'm anonymous they should be to). So without further ado I present:

[Useless] Cast of Characters

BFF: my best friend for the last seven years, we met in undergrad and have been causing problems/taking on the world in somewhat ridiculously fun fashion ever since. She's was smarter than me and didn't go to law school. She's loud, kinda snobby, loves to talk, and highly entertaining. Life would look so different with out her.

Little Sis: my younger sister is the one who got all of the artistic talent of the family. She also might be a genius, literally, but sometimes she lacks basic common sense. For example, she thought I was talking about a "bull" when I was telling a joke about "smoking a bowl." But we love her anyways.

Fashionista: one of my two closest friends from law school. She's a brat and moved back to her hometown two hours after graduation. We got through law school by eating a lot of pizza, consuming a lot of nachos, and oh yeah our biggest accomplishment of our 3 year adventure was finishing beer tour at the local trivia bar. She has rocking shoes and pulls off fashion looks I will never even attempt, oh and she loves fashion magazines, hence the name Fashionista.

Ms. Fabulous: the other one of my two closest friends from law school. She's nothing like Fashionista but she is truly fabulous. We interned for the same office during law school, we'd both like to be prosecutors after the bar, and we manage to find all kinds of fun and trouble to get into.

LMS (Little Miss Sunshine): everyone has to have at least one super sweet but totally naive and a little bit flaky friend. She's mine. No matter what life throws her way she manages to be an optimist at the end of the day. But sometimes I really do wonder how she manages to keep it all together because of the naive and flaky factor.

Trivia Boy: he was friends with Fashionista first and joined our trivia group a few months before graduation. He's been a part of the gang ever since and has become one of my good friends in the process. Some of my friends think he should be more than that, but that's just weird and totally awkward.

Roomie: my only roomie to date, we were roomies for 2 years in undergrad. She's smart, way more responsible than me, takes school very seriously, and went to law school on the opposite side of the country. She's becoming a bona-fide adult pretty fast, she already lined up a federal government job and recently got engaged to a fabulous guy. It'll be the first time in my young life that I'll actually be excited to attend a wedding of a good friend, but it does make me wonder sometimes if maybe I should eventually start thinking about doing the whole "adult" thing as well.

Best Buddy: my best friend from high school. We're still good friends but life has taken us in very different directions so we don't see each other or chat very often. She's married and thinking about starting a family, so it's hard sometimes because it feels like we don't have as much in common to talk and chat about anymore.

Ms. Realist: another member of the trivia crew, she's from the south and isn't afraid to tell it like it is. Her knack for humor is insane, she really should be a stand up comedian. If I ever thought about starting my own law firm someday I'd want her on my team because she really does just keep it all real.

The Rebel: she looks all sweet and innocent but once you get to know her you discover that she really is a rebel at heart. We were in the same section first year and she hung out with Fashionista and myself, but I didn't' really get to know her until she joined up with the trivia crew. She's the glue of the trivia crew and keeps us all in line, despite her rebel tendencies.

Big Wig: he was the EIC of the journal, I was his right hand gal serving in the #2 board position. Together we managed to not royally screw up the journal operation while having tons and tons of fun. He's a great guy who is perhaps a little too much of a frat boy at times, but he's going to make one hell of an attorney.

There's more people that I've left off that list for various reason, mostly because they conceivably won't come up in many stories, and when they do I can just throw something in on the fly. I'll update this from time to time, cause frankly it's kind of fun and I know that the cast of characters in my crazy life will continue changing with every new corner that I turn.
