Lawsuit Filed Over Zoo Train Derailment

An Indiana family injured in the derailment of a train at the Louisville Zoo earlier this month has filed a lawsuit alleging gross negligence. According to the family, the train accelerated quickly before tipping onto its side near the zoo's gorilla exhibit. An attorney for the family said the suit was filed so shortly after the accident to ensure that the scene of the accident was maintained. The lawsuit seeks a jury trial, compensatory and punitive damages.
