: Illinois Nursing Home Abuse BlogDepartment of Health Angry with Alzheimer?s Facility
By Levin & Perconti
State Health Inspectors say patients at a local Alzheimer?s assisted living facility were left unattended. The assisted living residence cares for Alzheimer?s patients, but an unannounced inspection found seven residents attended only by a volunteer cook. An official called the violations ?egregious.? The elderly negligence violations range from improper maintenance of smoke alarms to failure to maintain around-the-clock supervision by a qualified care provider. It is nursing home negligence for an Alzheimer?s facility to leave residents unattended. If you are aware of elderly negligence such as this, please contact an Illinois lawyer.
