Anti-Obama Talking Point Number 2

By wt

ADVERTISEMENTS
I mentioned Number 1 here. Obama is the most liberal Senator, ala John Kerry in 2004.

Number 2 is that one of his Texas office chapters has, on display, a huge Cuban flag with Che Guevara's picture superimposed on it.

Last time I checked, supporting a communist government hostile to the United States is a bad way to show your commitment to the United States.

I would flip out at my supporters if I were Obama. Whether Democrats are true "patriots" is already a huge issue for them, and a very easy talking point for Republican candidates.

To actually give evidence to the Republicans that you aren't patriotic -- worse, support one of America's enemies, is a terrible way to go about running your campaign.

The worst part is that it isn't a story about the flag -- it's a story about Obama's efforts in Texas. As in, the flag has been a fixture of the campaign office, and no one thought to remove it before the news media arrived.

Obviously, it has to come down. But it says very little about his supporters that they didn't stop to think about hiding their foreign loyalties before having reporters come into the office.
