: Legal Pad | LACA firms take top spots in Diversity Scorecard
By Richard Binder
Four of the top five spots in Minority Law Journal's Diversity Scorecard are taken by CA-based firms.
Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, based in Palo Alto, ranks first. They are followed by San Francisco-based Townsend and Townsend and Crew. Los Angeles-based firm Lewis, Brisbois, Bisgaard & Smith takes the fourth spot, and Irvine-based Knobbe, Martens, Olson & Bear rounds out the top five.
New York-based Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle is number three.
Ed Shanahan at MLJ credits "a more nuanced" approach to their methodology as to why some firms rose and fell on this year's list. Wilson Sonsini had finished in second place for two years running before finally rising to the top this year. And Lewis Brisbois jumped from 47 to number 4.
