First, I would like to  promise Anonymous that I did not delete your comment! Mostly because when I switched back to the blogger-comment platform (from Haloscan) I forgot how to delete comments. I don't even know if I can delete comments. I have however noticed some wonky things going on with my comments (like readers getting messages saying they can't comment on my blog which is most certainly not true) so I wouldn't be surprised if The Internet ate your comment for dinner. Here is to hoping it doesn't happen again!

Today started my second week of work. I didn't say much about it last week but it wasn't because it was horrible (far from it) but because my first week was spent doing a lot of training. Some of it was interesting or at least useful & pertinent...but some of it? Some of it was the equivalent of teaching me how to delete an email. I wish I was kidding, but I am not. I understand why I had to take the training but it doesn't mean I wasn't sitting in an overly warm and slightly dark room listening to someone from HR who over-used the word "plop" (as in "plop your arrow here and make a RIGHT CLICK" ) being taught how to delete things. And there is only so much you can say about that.

Now that I'm starting to move into the meat & potatoes of my job I can honestly say I'm enjoying it. I like my co-workers, the independent nature of my work & the subject matter. Everyone is concerned that I am happy -and frankly- After the last job? That suits me just fine. We celebrate our co-workers birthdays and we all politely chat at lunch and in the morning but people don't bother each other- we come in, we get our work done, and we get on with our lives. This is because my company understands that their employees have lives and so they offer many wonderful perks to ensure you spend as much time living your life outside of the office as possible. Quality of life as an attorney....who knew?
