Things I Learned While On Vacation

- Finding the coffee section in a grocery store in Utah is very very difficult. Mostly because the coffee section in a Utah grocery store is about the same size as the Ethiopian food section in your grocery store.

- Finding the wine section of the grocery store in Utah is downright impossible.

- After realizing the wine section does not exist you might weep internally at the thought of returning home without more wine. You will then realize it is Sunday and any attempts at finding a state liquor store will be futile. More weeping will ensue.

- Surprise 50th birthday parties should be planned with caution. Especially when the birthday girl's mother, grandson and 6 year old twin nephews are in attendance. Consider it a "diverse audience."

- Having a sleepover with your sister-in-law is all fun and games until the baby sleeps in the middle of the bed. Then you will lie awake in a straight rigid line because OH MAH GOODNESS I COULD SQUISH THA BABEEEEEE. (My brother is traveling for work right now)

- Baby burps directed at your face are so not cool. You will wonder if your brother taught him that trick.

- Coming "home" to visit your family is nice. The anticipation of BISMOW picking you up at the airport when you get home-home? Even better.
