James Bear, former Knobbe managing partner, dies at 66

Knobbe Martens' managing partner James Bear died of an aneurysm, The Recorder reports. He was 66.

Bear was helping his brother-in-law on home project in Washington state at the time. Bear, who was an intellectual property attorney, retired from the Knobbe Martens in 2006, after 30 years as a managing partner.

A memorial celebration will be held Feb. 12 at 6 p.m. at the Marconi Automotive Museum, 1302 Industrial Dr., Tustin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
