Color Blind

By "Daisy Duke"

ADVERTISEMENTS
A recent conversation bewteen myself and my Crazypants Grandma:

Daisy: So Grandma, I wanted to let you know that for the wedding, most people are going to wear fall colors. Mom said you wanted to wear something that would like nice in the family pictures. The men will wear black tuxedos and I think the women will all wear fall colors.

Crazypants Grandma: You mean dead colors.

Daisy: Erm. Yes. I was thinking you could wear cranberry.

Crazypants Grandma: Ohh a rose color?

Daisy: Well not so much pink as cranberry. Burgundy. (Memories of horrible fuchsia & hot pink outfits qualified as "rose" come to the surface.)

Crazypants Grandma: What color is BISMOW's mother wearing?

Daisy: I think navy blue?

Crazypants Grandma: So I could wear light blue?

Daisy: Well you can. But most people are wearing fall colors. Perhaps cranberry? Dark green? Black?

Crazypants Grandma: Black is for funerals. I don't wear black. Should I wear a long dress or a short dress?

Daisy: I think most of the parents and grandparents are wearing long dresses.

Crazypants Grandma: Perhaps a peach dress?

Daisy: . You can wear what you like but you asked me, so I'm letting you know that most people will wear fall colors.

Crazypants Grandma: Teal green is a nice color isn't it?

Daisy: Um. Yes. I wouldn't classify it as a fall color.

Crazypants Grandma: Do you have a job yet?
