This That & The Other

First thing first, Dr. Slappy (husband of Katie at Overflowing Brain) got his residency match today and they are happily moving back to Los Angeles! In the same vein, two of my closest friends from college matched together at the same hospital (and residency program) in New Orleans, which makes them and their friends very very happy. Congrats to all! That and Katie, please start working on a place for me to stay when I come into town for USC football games.

Last night was the first meeting of the Wednesday Night Unemployment Club which you can read about here and here. I think the first meeting was a smashing success, but then again, what night that includes an 80's cover band isn't successful??

Wedding planning is going along smoothly (other than the family! drama! so dramatic, these families!) and some things are way more fun than others. Guest list? Horrible. Menu planning? Much more fun. Here is a snapshot of the church we are getting married in along with the steeple. It is just a few steps away from where the bench was that Tom Hanks sat on in Forrest Gump. I've found a photographer (yay!) and a dress and I've picked out my flowers. What more is there to do? Oh, that's, right, poll my readers. (I can't help it, y'all give great advice.) So I'm curious.....think of the best wedding you ever went to and tell me why it was so great. Muchos gracias.
