Muppet Legal Community Now Fears Layoffs

According to the Associated Press as reprinted by USA Today.com, Sesame Workshop is eliminating 67 of 355 staff positions because of difficulties created by the current economic climate. Sesame Workshop is the nonprofit organization behind Sesame Street and a variety of other initiatives to help educate children. The layoffs evidence that no sector of the economy is unaffected by the current economic downturn, and the increased importance of charitable giving as the economy struggles to recover.
