"Appeals Judge Sharon Keller faces another challenge," is Dianne Jennings post on the Dallas Morning News crime blog.Challenges to Judge Sharon Keller on the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals are mounting. You'll need a scorecard for this one, but here's the latest: Houston attorney Randy Schaffer has asked the Court to reconsider its denial of relief in the case of Clara Harris--the dentist who was sentenced to 20 years for running over her philandering husband. Harris had claimed she received ineffective assistance of counsel from her attorney, George Parnham. Harris also sued Parnham, unsuccessfully, in civil court, disputing the almost $400,000 in legal expenses he charged. Parnham was represented in the civil suit by Dallas attorney Chip Babcock--who is also representing Keller in the ethics inquiry into her conduct in a death penalty case...continue to full post
