: Slaw.caThree Great Conferences?
By David Bilinsky
? Rise up this mornin,
Smiled with the risin sun,
Three little birds
Pitch by my doorstep
Singin sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true,
Sayin, (this is my message to you-ou-ou:)
Singin: dont worry bout a thing,
cause every little thing gonna be all right…?
Music and lyrics by Bob Marley, recorded by Bob Marley & The Wailers
This year there are three great conferences on legal technology that one can attend. In order of time, the first is:
ABA TECHSHOW, held in Chicago April 2-4, 2009.
Close on the heels of Techshow is LegalIT in Montreal on April 20-21, 2009.
Finally there is The Pacific Legal Technology Conference in Vancouver, BC on Oct. 2, 2009.
All three conferences are not ‘vendor-driven’, meaning that the sessions are built by attendees to meet ithe needs of attendees.
These are the best opportunities to gain experience from the three leading legal technology programs and leading speakers in North America. Particularly in such troubled economic times, learning about how to improve your application of legal technology is a first step towards making the changes that are necessary to first slim down the overhead of your practice and two, build the necessary infrastructure to work more efficiently and effectively. Third, these improvements will help you ride the updrafts once these recessionary times are over and business is yet again on an upswing.
After all, sooner or later every little thing is gonna be alright…
