Job Announcemenrt: Legal Reference Librarian - West Los Angeles

Library Associates seeks a Legal Reference Librarian with 3 - 5 years of legal and business reference experience, preferably in a law firm or corporate/business research library.

This position is in West Los Angeles, CA

 

Responsibilities

·             Provide reference and research for a busy reference desk in response to simple and complex questions on legal, business, public records and general news subjects.

·             Develop content for the information services pages of the firm's Intranet.

·             Retrieve, organize and deliver cases, statutes and other authorities for litigation support.

·             Work on special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

·             Experience performing legal reference or legal and business reference using online and print sources such as LexisNexis, Westlaw, 's, ChoicePoint, Courtlink, and other, similar sources, required;

·             A MLS/MLIS Degree from an ALA-accredited university is preferred; however, we will consider applicants that have the equivalent experience, provided all other criteria are met.

·             Ability to work in a fast paced environment;

·             Experience packaging and synthesizing results into a deliverable for requestor.
