ADVERTISEMENTS
This is the view from my parents house, looking at it every day is akin to being on crack:
It just makes you a little wobbly & light-headed. I suppose I could blame that on the altitude, but I prefer to blame it on the view. I like to look at it while sipping a glass of wine and listening to Papa Duke & BISMOW debate the PAC 10 and the Big 10 just one more time. All football arguments aside (BISMOW, put down Papa Duke's signed USC football! Papa Duke, if you mention App State one more time.....) we had a lovely visit. Other than The Snow Shoeing Incident when BISMOW pushed me, face first, into approximately 4 feet of fresh powder and my snow shoes became tangled and I didn't have my gloves on so I just kind impersonated a turtle, flailing, whilst shrieking "My hands! My hands! HELP ME YOU IDIOT! My hands!" and I heard my Dad laughing 100 yards up the trail. Laughing, not helping. He probably snapped a photo as well before jogging away in his snow shoes. Jerk. I was also asked by my brother and his fiancee to be the Godmother to my nephew who is arriving soon. (Dear Zeke: Hurry it up dude. I'm ready for you!) Which sort of put a big red bow on top of the whole trip.
Next up, Mardi Gras, Daisy-style. If Overflowing Brain & I don't bake at least one thing and catch some darn good beads, then consider the trip a failure.
