Asus Pre-Announces a New EEE Series Tablet

At the CES this week, Asus, pre-announced (paraphrasing George Carlin’s routine on “pre-owned” cars, how can you pre-announce - does that means announce before you announce - sheer semantic non-sense that is a serious pet peeve of mine) the appearance in 3 to 6 months. Portable Media Player News reports on the Acer EEE PC T101H - an 8.9″ tablet with a 120 gb drive and the lower-power-consumption 1.33 ghz version of Intel’s Atom process. Reportedly due three to six months from now . . . a little vague as to timeframe, but scintillating nevertheless. As a member of the EEE series, it may show up as the least expensive full-function Windows tablet ever offered in a small form factor that makes sense for quick note-taking.
