Missing Law School??

Today while I was hanging out in the journal office having a fun conversation with several friends it finally hit me, there's only 3 months and 19 days left of law school, and instead of being excited, thrilled, and happy about that, I was a little sad about it. Don't get me wrong, law school has not exactly been an experience that I have loved, or even enjoyed on most days, but I have made friends and I have managed to have fun along the way. While I am definitely ready to graduate law school and move onto the next chapter, I never thought I would actually get the feeling that maybe I would end up missing some things. I'm not going to miss the homework, or the final exams, or the classes, but I am going to miss the journal crew (and even some of the mundane work that us board members "get" to do) and I'm going to miss hanging out with my law school friends during the big gaps in our schedules while we "study" (which is a code word for procrastinating by surfing the internet, gossiping, spending too much money shopping online and generally laughing a lot about anything and everything under the sun).

I'm sure that there will be many great things that life after law school will offer, and I am relieved that the light at the end of the dark and scary law school tunnel is finally visible, but for now I just can't shake the feeling that just maybe I haven't hated law school as much as I thought I did and there will actually be something worth missing come the day after graduation this May. Is it actually sane to end up missing law school once the journey is finally over?
