Das East End von London, Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts: Ein Phantom geht um, die gesamte Stadt fürchtet sich vor Jack the Ripper. Ein Massenmörder, der Prostituierte abschlachtet und seziert und den die Polizei einfach nicht zu fassen kriegt. Nun stellt ein Wissenschafter die These auf:
Jack the Ripper war vielleicht eine Frau.
Wie “The Independent” schreibt, untersuchte der Australische Diagnostik-Professor Ian Findlay DNS-Spuren von Briefen, die vermutlich von dem berühmten Killer stammen. Daraufhin erstellte er ein genetisches Profil. Die Resultate legen nahe, dass Jack wohl eine Jill war.
