Semester Update

Grades: Well, this week has been interesting.. I have five out of my six grades from last semester and I am on track for one of my best law school GPA's. It is weird because I clerked so much last semester that I ended up neglecting my studies. I won't say too much more about it because there is always the possibility that my property transactions grade will kill my current stellar GPA. But I will say that I find it a little rude that the Prop Trans prof is always so late in turning in his grades! I mean, professors dock us 15% on our exams for turning them in even a minute late. Maybe someone should dock this professor's pay 15% for everyday he is late turning in grades. I can't help but feel a little annoyed with this professor.

Clerking:And I have been clerking three days a week at the same firm I worked at last semester. It's the same situation as always, complicated, time pressured tax projects. I haven't told the firm that I accepted the job offer from the Midwestern corporation, so I constantly have associates and partners trying to sway me in to staying at their firm. I will tell them eventually, but I know it will be uncomfortable when I do. For now I will enjoy the super nice treatment I receive from most of the attorneys and do my best to turn in quality research.

Classes: All of my classes seem fine this semester. My favorite class is a tax class of course! I love pouring through treatises and the Code for answers to complex tax transactions. Nothing better! :) My only complaint about classes is that I have to go to a make-up class today. Yup, class on Saturday.

Well that is the latest update. I am off for a run with my puppy. Have a nice weekend everyone!
