9 month appointment

Height: 28 inches. ("You're tall!" I said to K. "He's not a giant," observed the doctor.) 40th percentile.
Weight: 19 pounds. Down to the 25th percentile. Gained 2 1/2 pounds since the last appointment, so the doctor said it was fine.
Head: I forget the percentage, but big head.
Shots: Hep C and flu vaccine, took them like a champ. I feel so bad holding his hands down while somebody hurts him, though. I know it's for the best, but I feel like it sends him a twisted message.

Next appointment (other than a flu booster next month) is after his first birthday! He gets a blood test and they will check for lead.

More current status:

Cute behavior of the day: Pure delight at playing pattycake.
Delinquent behavior of the day: Ripping a page out of a library book.

Favorite new food: Apple slices.
Favorite books at the moment: Richard Scarry remains a top choice; Green Eggs and Ham, Sleepy Dog, and Love You Forever are up there. This changes every few days.
Favorite joke: It's a tie: Mommy pretends to blow her nose and goes, HONK; also, the peekaboo duck game. Peekaboo... quack!
Best friend: Monsieur Wiggles.
