2007 was life-changing and wonderful.

2008 will bring K's first birthday and my thirtieth; a new baby cousin for K; a taste of juggling work and family; and the end of law school, possibly accompanied by a long trip to India. Big year.

My resolution is to make a new 101 in 1001 list (although it may be more like 30 in 365).

No wild party for us last night. We spent New Year's Eve with old friends and with K sleeping in the next room. Today we drove back after being away for a week and a half. K, who hates being confined, was ultra-fussy by the end of the trip but got a big smile on his face when he recognized that we were home. He ran around playing with all his toys for nearly an hour. (By the way, he is 10 months old as of today and celebrated by learning how to clap. He has also grown three new teeth in the past week, after having just two for months!)

Tomorrow, back to our daily routine. My last full year of law school. I have to savor every day of this year, because I won't have the luxury of being a student soon.
