2008 Law Blog Newsmaker of the Year Goes to . . . Eliot Spitzer

spitzerOver the last week, Loyal LB Readers have been voting for the 2008 Newsmaker of the Year. The votes are in. And . . . well, perhaps the readership is somewhat more New York-centric than we imagined.

Former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer came out ahead, with about 17% of the vote. Second-place went to U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald, whose indictment of Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich has added to his stature as a prosecutor. And New York AG Andrew Cuomo took third place with about 14% of the vote.
