Resolution Revolution

By "Daisy Duke"

ADVERTISEMENTS
Here we are. January 2nd, which technically means I'm a day behind in discussing this whole "Resolution" thing. Some people abhor New Year's resolutions. Some make many and keep none. Some people make one big resolution and keep it. And some make a bunch of small ones and keep them. This year I'm going for a few. Lets discuss.

1. Being Healthier Overall
I'm not making a resolution about losing weight or never eating another french fry. But the fact of the matter is, last year with all of the time spent glued to an office chair and/or studying, led to a decline in working out & an increase in poor food choices. I'd rather like to get back on the bandwagon of regular cardio & more fruits, veggies & whole grains. So BISMOW and I are putting an emphasis on just being healthier overall. No 30 day cleanse, no elimination of carbs, but just a general better attitude toward what we eat & how we spend our leisure time. So take that you "10 pound weight loss" cliche. Take. That.

2. Finding a Job
Sorry guys, but I had to put it on there. If I haven't found one by this time next year, we'll have to have a chat. And perhaps I'll need an IV of red wine. Or a good bankruptcy attorney.

3. Upon Finding Said Job....
Starting a savings account and actually putting some $$ in there. I'd like to finally have a reserve for an emergency or a vacation or something unexpected. I'm not going to torture myself now during my whole "lack of income" period, but once I'm back on a salary bandwagon, it is back to the old savings account.

So there you have it. Nothing too crazy or extravagant or requiring of expensive equipment....but of course, now I'm curious what y'all plan to do this year?
