This guy is big trouble. And not only because after a two-year drought of contestants who could win more than five Jeopardy! games, Jim just became the third in a year to win six or more. He's trouble because he's trying to STEAL DAN'S LIFE.

He's got the goatee (raising the question of who is more evil). He's airing at exactly the same time Dan aired last year. I'm pretty sure he said in one of his early games he has a stepdaughter named Becca, which is super weird. And to top it all off, last night they showed a quick shot of his wife in the studio as Jim explained that it was her birthday that day. Hey! That's my gig!

We now know the full slate of people who will be in Las Vegas next week. They are scary. I was going to do some preview posts, but that seems silly since you all won't be watching the show until March, so I'll save it until then. Dan is trying to stuff a couple extra French novelists and Pacific islands in his head, but he's pretty much as ready as he's going to be. I'm spending my time working hard on my asylum case, trying to pick my way around the enormous pile of toys we drove home from New York with, and offering encouraging words like "IT'S IN ONE WEEK! AAH!"
