ADVERTISEMENTS
pThis past week we returned from our trek northward for an early holiday. As is our new tradition, we drove through the night on a weekday. A few observations:/p
p1. All-=night travel is much easier on the toddler, who sleeps most of the way and doesn't have to be entertained while confined in a carseat for hours on end./p
p2. You make great time, particularly traveling up and down the eastern seaboard. Really. Even if minutes before intended departure you are vomited on and then forced to hunt for your misplaced wallet. Great time. /p
p3. It's the closest to Jack Kerouac a mother-of-a-certain-age is going to feel. At about 3 a.m. it's just you, twinkling truck taillights, and the open road, man./p
pHappy holidays and safe travels, Glom readers./pdiv class="feedflare"
