: the 13th juror"Startling information"?
By Jacqueline Dowd
"We found out there are close to a thousand kids without a home attending school right now."
Startling? Only if you haven't been paying any attention at all to what's happening in your community. And I'd hope that the self-described
"most respected, recognized and watched television station in Southwest Florida" would have been paying at least a little bit of attention.
The report doesn't exactly say that all those homeless kids are in Collier County, but it suggests that they are.
And that would startle the state's Office on Homelessness, which reports that a total of 414 people are homeless in Collier County.
Thanks to Ybor City Stogie for the link.
