: Legal Pad | LASan Francisco white collar crimes head in U.S. attorney's office joins Ropes & Gray

Michael Li-Ming Wong, former head of the white-collar crimes section for the U.S. attorney's office in San Francisco, has joined Boston-based Ropes & Gray's government enforcement and complex business litigation practice in the firm's San Francisco office.
Wong served as chief of white-collar prosecutions from 2005 to 2008 and headed the major crimes section from 2004 to 2005. He took nearly 20 cases to jury trials, serving as lead counsel in some of the office's cases in stock options backdating, public corruption and fraud.
