Wal-Mart Temporary Worker Trampled in Black Friday Stampede

On Friday 28, November 2008, an accident occurred at Wal ? Mart store on Long Island N.Y. A crowd of over-enthusiastic shoppers caused a stampede at the shop. In the process, a 34 year old temporary maintenance worker, Idimatai Dampur, was trampled to death.� A crowd of almost 2000� bargain hunters broke through the glass doors of the Wal-Mart� in the predawn hours to buy heavily discounted electronic items during the annual Black Friday sale. In the wild stampede, Dampur was pushed to the ground and asphyxiated.

Mr. Dampur?s sisters are planning to file a wrongful personal injury case against Wal-Mart and other agencies, stating that better crowd management could have saved the life of Idimatai and prevented injuries to many others. Mr. Dampur was hired through a temporary employment agency.
