I Heart Google

ADVERTISEMENTS
*Topic idea for this post shamelessly borrowed from Butterflyfish*

I'm going to attempt to answer some of the ponderings that have brought people to this [useless] blawg from the very wonderful world of Google to finish yet another NaBloPoMo post:

Law OCI and Why it Sucks
OCI sucks because it is yet another part of law school where certain law students (GUNNERS) measure their own self worth by judging themselves against everyone else. This means that the gunners can get totally obnoxious about how many interviews they have, how many call backs they have, how stressed out they are about all of the interviewing, and still manage to have enough energy to be critical and judgmental of anyone and everyone who either isn't participating in OCI or didn't get anything out of OCI. This can make things pretty miserable for a few weeks, particularly at the start of 2L year. In fact, I was so annoyed with the whole OCI scene at my school last year that I wrote this memo aimed directly at the OCI gunners making life somewhat miserable for the rest of us at [Useless] Law School last year. Ironically, I totally forgot about OCI this year, I didn't even notice it going on, but I assume that it happened.

Law School is Just Like High School
Yes, yes it is. I wish I could change this fact, but I can't. Thank goodness law school is only 3 years, instead of 4 like high school was. This is a subject that i have discussed many times, so I'm not going to rehash the subject anymore, but here are my prior posts: here, there, and most recently here.

Scared 1L
Don't be scared. Law school is not nearly as bad as Paper Chase or One L made law school seem. However, that being said, it's also not as glamourous and fun as Elle Woods made it seem in Legally Blonde. If you're reading this and other blogs (see the blog feed to your left if you need some other great ones to read!) then you are well on your way to being more informed about the absurdity that is law school than I was when I was beginning my law school journey.

Somebody Has the Case of the Mondays
Yup, I totally have a case of the Mondays, and the Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays for that matter. Might I suggest taking 2 hours for yourself, have a yummy snack and watch Office Space? It may not cure the Mondays, and it might not help with studying for finals, but it sure is a great way to relieve some stress!

How to do the Chilled Water Piping Quantification
HUH? I have no idea how your Google search landed you on this blog, sorry I obviously can't provide an answer to your question. I was a science major in undergrad and I even minored in Chemistry, but I literally have no clue what the heck that refers to. Might I suggest 2 parts chilled vodka, 1 part chilled cosmo mix served with a twist in a very fun glass??
