I got the new case file the same way I get all my new cases: a thin manila folder with a blue sticker on the index tab. The sticker has my client's name, my name and a three letter code, indicating the charge. My client, Gary Borchest, had the code IEX: Indecent Exposure.Sometimes, inside of the manila folder, I will get a bio sheet. Mr. Borchest, for example is 54 years old, and he works at a preschool with children.A few days after I am assigned a case I receive the police report. The report is usually the State's case against my client.
