Open .:cough:. letter to my classmates

I know that I am extremely annoying to have in class these days . . . ok, more so than usual. It started off as a polite, quiet, occasional, dry hacking sound. The last day or so it sounds more like a walrus with pneumonia. I would leave class every time a small fit erupts, but I would miss class altogether, and you know what our draconian attendance policy is like. I know we all love the fact that my voice has acquired an attractive rasp, much like the late Bea Arthur's, but it is not my fault that professors have decided it would be fun to call on me more than usual this week. Maybe they think talking will stop the coughing.

Nope.

So, know that I am on medication. Its an asthma thing, so while it started as a cold, its not like a contagious case of TB or something. I use my inhaler often. I am sucking on cough drops like they're candy. And I apologize deeply for the inconvenience.
