On the streets: Everybody?s got at least one newspaper. Among minorities, lots of grinning at random strangers.

In my ?Race Relations and the Presidential Election? seminar: Jubilation, cupcakes, tears.

From some of the clinical faculty: Speculation of a mass exodus out of HLS (and Stanford Law) to D.C. to work for the new administration.

And, on the same day, a step backward for civil rights: Prop 8 passed in California.
