An Alabama woman got an out-of-state delivery last week that she never ordered -- a Diebold touch-screen voting machine from neighboring Georgia.

The machine was dumped in her driveway and appeared to have been outside for a while, though it was only in her driveway a couple of hours.

"It had bugs in it and had been wet on the bottom and so forth," Sheriff Tommy Boswell told an Albama paper. By "bugs," the paper clarified, Boswell meant insects, not computer glitches.

The machine had two metal keys used for unlocking and setting it up. It had no memory card in it that officials insert before elections to record votes.
