Creating a Personal Brand

A recent article in Redeye focused on the importance of creating a personal brand. Personal branding is wise career advice.  The key attributes of a personal brand can be gleaned from those attributes that create a strong trademark.  Be distinctive.  Be known to the relevant public.  Stand for something and stand out.

Here are some additional tips gleaned from the Redeye article by Kyra Kyles:

1.  To remain competitive . . . you have to stand out.

2.  Go outside your department and comfort zone to bring people together and help the company.

3.  Do useful service for others, e.g., ...
