An Open Letter

To The Man On The Bus: I realize that your project for law school is rilly rilly important. And that your project partner is rilly rilly dumb. But your repeated explanations, in a LOUD LOUD EVENING VOICE at 8 am on a commuter bus, which is probably chock full of people who have also been to law school & graduated from it are totally judging you for your messenger bag with your law school name written across it. And? Those people? DON'T CARE. ABOUT YOU. OR YOUR DUMB PROJECT.

To The Woman In The Revolving Door: Physics 101 has shown us, time & time again, that your rolly bag cannot roll properly in a revolving door. So either pick it up or walk the extra 2 feet to the regular door. Because trapping me in the revolving door because you are too dumb to figure this out, a mere few feet away from my coffee, is just cruel.

To The Man Who Cut In Front Of Me In Line At Starbucks: I get it. You went to Iowa, rah rah rah. But if the lady in front of me in line politely offers to let you step in front of her because you are pseudo in line but also pseudo out of line, it is really RUDE AND INCONSIDERATE to refuse the slot, and make a loud joke about how "We are all getting our coffee no matter where we stand in line!" only to turn around, eyeball me, and then CUT IN FRONT OF ME. You sir, are a rude rude person.

To The Woman Holding Up The Starbucks Line: You can ooh & awe over the old $10 bill the cashier gave you after you let the next person pay for their beverage. And if you think that slightly mangled $10 bill that is still in circulation is worth any more than they slightly newer $10 bill in my wallet, I have a bridge to sell you real cheap.

To The Person I Work With Who Should Have Been Fired Ages Ago: If an attorney is going to court to fix something you screwed up once already, that almost cost our firm half a million dollars, maybe, just maybe you should double check that you've given him everything he needs before he goes. Because if he leaves, then you disappear, and I'm suddenly left fixing the mess and sprinting to court in my cute dress & heels, I'm going to be less than thrilled.
