According to this guy ("veteran political reporter who ?enjoyed the hottest streak of almost any handicapper'" in 2004, according to his bio.), the numbers out of California carry good news for Obama.

The most recent Survey/USA poll ranks the CA democratic contenders thusly:

  • Clinton 49
  • Obama 38
  • Edwards 9
  • Other/Undecided 4

But after some fairly realistic turnout-fiddling, he gets:

  • Clinton 44.5
  • Obama 41.3
  • Edwards 8.8
  • Undecided 5.4

And that's before the South Carolina/Kennedy/Sebelius Bump, the Snub Dip, the Clinton-Backlash Backlash, and the XKCD-Endorsement Catapult. So this is very good news indeed.
