We Can Quit Anytime We Want

By Andrea

ADVERTISEMENTS

It was the MA primary today, so Dan and I joined all of six other people across the state and voted.  Dan's Republican "ballot" actually consisted of nominating ONE guy to run against John Kerry in the general election...and nothing else. My ballot actually filled out most of one page. We both have kind of a sick voting addiction where we totally like standing at the little table, using the marker, and feeding the ballot into the machine. Plus, discussing this today, we both admitted that when/if we become public figures, we want to say we voted in every election we could. We are really lame.

I also realized that in 2004, when we lived in Chicago, I voted for Kerry for President and Obama for Senate, and this November, I'll be voting for Obama for President and Kerry for Senate. That's pretty weird, right? Is there any other hypothetical person who moved between states and could say they voted for officeholders who switched like that?

Also, this longstanding state rep named Tony Verga just lost his seat, and I don't know anything about him, but his last name is a naughty name for the...male member in Spanish, and I find this funny, because I am 10.

8 month baby letter tomorrow, I promise.
