Bosch Hammer Drills recalled because drill may operate after trigger released

On June 12, 2008, Robert Bosch Tool Corp. recalled about 9,700 Bosch Hammer Drills because the drill may continue to operate after the trigger has been released, which may cause personal injury to consumers.

The word ?BOSCH? is printed on the recalled blue hammer drills, which have a model number of 1191VSR printed on the product nameplate found on the side of the motor. The model number is also printed on the product?s packaging. Only drills with a serial number that begins with ?7? are included in the recall.

Menards and other hardware retailers and industrial distributors sold the recalled Bosch Hammer Drills from July 2007 through April 2008 for about $100.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Bosch Hammer Drills and contact the company at 877-472-0007 for a free repair. For more information, customers may also visit the company?s website.
