: Legal Pad | LARetired L.A. Superior Court Judge Richard Ibanez dies at 97

Retired Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Richard Ibanez died of cardiac arrest and coronary artery disease on November 30, 2007, the Los Angeles Times reports (here). He was 97.
Ibanez specialized in family law and dependency court. He was a partner in former state Atty. Gen. Robert Kenny's law firm from 1952-1974 and sat on the bench from 1975 to 1994.
Ibanez helped found the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund.
