Michigan's Brooks Kushman opens L.A. outpost

Mark_mizrahi Brooks Kushman, an intellectual property boutique based in Southfield, Mich., has opened an office in Los Angeles. (Press Release)

Mark Mizrahi, formerly a partner at Los Angeles-based Belasco Jacobs & Townsley, who joined Brooks Kushman on Sept. 1 as senior counsel, will open the new office, which will be located in West Los Angeles. Mizrahi specializes in trademark applications for clients including clearinghouses, clothing manufacturers and toy manufacturers. He also handles patent and copyright litigation.

He has served as local counsel for Brooks Kushman for a decade.

Brooks Kushman was founded in 1983 by five intellectual property attorneys.

The Los Angeles office is the second for the firm, which has 70 attorneys.
