Making the always-strange Broward courthouse happenings even stranger: The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Cheryl Aleman, who always seems to end up in the middle of controversies. Here?s my question: Shouldn?t this suit be handled in another jurisdiction? Even if Aleman were considered the wisest and most even-handed jurist, there?s just no way a sitting judge should rule in a case where one colleague (Dijols) is the plaintiff and other colleagues (the judges who sit on the Broward election canvassing board) are named as co-defendants...continue to full post
