Corporate lawyer James Thompson joins Bingham as partner

Corporate and private equity lawyer James Thompson joined Bingham McCutchen's Los Angeles office as a partner.

Thompson focuses on corporate transactions including private and public offerings of equity and debt securities, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, reorganizations, emerging growth companies, 1933 Securities Act and 1934 Exchange Act compliance, and periodic reporting and corporate governance matters.

He was previously a partner at Katten Muchin.
