Plot to kill judge alleged

The Las Vegas Review Journal reports that authorities have uncovereda murder-for-hire plot targeting a District Court judge and a county prosecutor. According to the complaint, Daimon Hoyt hired a man, Edward Guiterrea, to kill District Court Judge Michelle Leavitte and prosecutor Sandra DiGiacomo. Hoyt is scheduled to appear in Justice Court Dept. 1 on Thursday. Presumably the AG's office will be handling the prosecution. Court Administration notes that the criminal complaint lists three counts of Solicitation to Commit Murder. The Nevada Appeal provides additional details.
