Getting sleepy....the TMI version

ADVERTISEMENTS

I am enjoying the accommodations at the Pacific Sleep Center - or at least, I will, once I get all hooked up to all the monitors.  I'm having a sleep study done, to hopefully learn why the hell it is I wake up a gazillion times a night.  My guess is that it's all stress related and that there is some magic pill they can prescribe that will completely eliminate the problem.  Well, that's my fervent hope, anyway.

Because I am completely terrified that it's because of sleep apnea and that I will have to wear one of those face masks, you know, the face-hugger looking things.  It is not a big deal to me that Matthew has one (he has not one, but two sleep disorders), but for some reason, I can't deal with the idea that I might have to wear one.

But right now I'm just freaked out that there are going to be people watching and listening to me sleep all night.  I mean...what if I fart?  Will they laugh? I read some statistic about people farting in their sleep, and now I'm paranoid that I do it.  (I did, once, while recovering from food poisoning, and Matthew told me that I excused myself in my sleep, too.)   If it goes in my medical record, will it be discoverable someday if I sue?

The wireless connection here is intermittent, so I'd better post while I still have the guts to post about farting and the bandwidth to do it.
