Maliki Supports the Obama Timeline

Well this complicates things.
When asked in an interview with SPIEGEL when he thinks U.S. troops should leave Iraq, Maliki responded "as soon as possible, as far as we are concerned." He then continued: "U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama is right when he talks about 16 months."

Hmm. Hard to argue with the leader of the country we're trying to protect. As long as he's not being controlled by some covert element or being disingenuous for some other reason, we might want to pay heed to this guy.
