Uh, Awkward

Obama gave his half-sister her first copy of Our Body, Ourselves.

First published in 1973, it contains information related to many aspects of women's health and sexuality, including menopause, birth control, childbirth, sexual health, sexual orientation, gender identity, mental health and general well-being.

Thanks(?), older brother?

Maybe Obama needed to find a Christmas present fast and saw his Mom's copy, and ran with it.
