Blind & Selectively Deaf

By "Daisy Duke"

ADVERTISEMENTS
Last night, in all my stressed out anxiety, BISMOW was over and came into the kitchen as I was cleaning it up and told me not to worry about it, that he'd take care of it. Specifically I was unloading the dishwasher when he came in.

So imagine my surprise this morning when I went into the kitchen to make a cup of tea and found the sink still full of dirty dishes and the almost empty BRITA filter on the counter, not in the fridge, and the trashcan full of smelly trash. The dishwasher however, was unloaded.

And I think this proves my point that men are, in fact, blind. Don't even get me started on their selective hearing. **

Coming up later--> Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread. Decadent, delicious, moist and oh-so-not healthy. So easy that even a non-baker can make it- and it makes two loaves, one for you and one for your freezer, your next door neighbor, your office potluck, or your friend who is home sick. Be prepared!

** This post is in no way saying I am ungrateful for the dishwasher unloading. In fact, it was very sweet of BISMOW to even come and deal with my bar exam studying unemployed self, and I credit him big time for offering to help me in the kitchen. Ladies, I know you get my point. Gentlemen, keep offering. One day you'll get it right. And I leave you with BISMOW's favorite question: "If I were alone in the forest and you wern't there to hear me, would I still be wrong?"
