: Legal Pad | LASan Diego and San Bernardino challenge medical marijuana ruling

San Diego and San Bernardino are bringing the first challenge by a county to overturn a medical marijuana law, the North County Times reported.
Arguments to overturn Prop. 215 began yesterday, with the two counties claiming that it violates federal law and the state constitution.
The California Attorney General's office, the American Civil Liberties Union and patients' attorneys disagree.
Eleven states have passed medical marijuana laws.
A ruling by the 4th District Court of Appeal is expected within the next 30 to 90 days.
